GB Forged Bellows Floating Ball Flange Ball Valve
The GB forged bellows floating ball flange valve (standard: GB/T12237) is a high-reliability sealing valve designed for on/off and isolation service in small to medium-sized industrial pipelines. The valve features a forged body with an integrated high-performance bellows seal, providing zero-leakage performance while maintaining the low operating torque and reliable shutoff characteristics of a floating ball design.
The valve is suitable for PN16, PN25, PN40, and PN100 pressure classes, with nominal sizes ranging from 3/8” to 2” (DN10–DN50), covering a wide range of operating conditions. A wide selection of materials, including carbon steel (A105), low-temperature carbon steel (LF2), stainless steel (F304, F316L), and super-austenitic/duplex steels (F51, F53, F55), allows the valve to handle conventional, low-temperature, and highly corrosive media.
Multiple connection options are available, including NPT female threaded, socket weld (SW), and butt-weld (BW) ends, ensuring compatibility with various pipeline systems. The sealing surface can be configured as soft or hard, depending on operational requirements for leak-tightness and wear resistance. Actuation options include manual lever, electric actuator, or pneumatic actuator, supporting both on-site manual control and automated system integration.
The bellows structure isolates the process medium from the stem, providing zero-leakage performance while absorbing thermal expansion, contraction, and pressure fluctuation stresses, thereby extending service life. This valve is widely used in oil, chemical, power, environmental, and advanced industrial pipelines, particularly in applications requiring strict leakage control, making it an ideal solution for high-reliability isolation and shutoff in small to medium diameter lines.
Pressure Rating: 1.0 – 42.0 MPa
Size Range: 1/2″ – 60″ (DN 15 – DN 1500)
Working Temperature: -29°C to 266°C
Standards: GB
Materials: Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Alloy Steel, Special Alloys
Operation: Manual, Gear, Electric, Pneumatic
Structural Characteristics of
The valve body is forged for dense material structure and enhanced pressure integrity.
A metal bellows assembly combined with packing provides two layers of stem sealing.
Line pressure forces the ball against the downstream seat to achieve tight shutoff.
Precision-machined ball and seat reduce friction during operation.
Available with soft seats for general service or metal seats for severe conditions.
- This type of ball valve is especially suitable for systems requiring strict leakage control. It can be applied to thermal oil, steam, natural gas, LPG, light hydrocarbons, chemical solvents, and certain corrosive fluids. The bellows-sealed stem design makes it widely used in petrochemical plants, fine chemical facilities, power generation systems, heating networks, and high-temperature process lines for on-off service and safety isolation.
