API Forged Extended-Body Welded Gate Valve
Strictly compliant with API 602 standards, this API forged extended-body welded gate valve is engineered for critical sealing performance in high-pressure and high-temperature environments. The integrated extended-body, manufactured through high-tonnage precision forging, ensures a continuous metal grain flow and exceptional material density, effectively eliminating internal defects like porosity common in castings to maintain structural integrity under intense pressure fluctuations. The specialized extended-body design provides ample space for thermal insulation while minimizing heat transfer to the stuffing box, significantly enhancing the service life of the sealing components. With fully welded ends (Socket Weld or Butt Weld), the valve provides a permanent, leak-proof connection that eliminates potential flange leakage risks and reinforces the overall system strength. The OS&Y (Outside Screw and Yoke) configuration isolates the operating threads from the process media, preventing erosion and scale buildup that could compromise actuation. Furthermore, the precision-ground hard-alloy seats and wedge deliver reliable, bubble-tight shut-off, making it a premier solution for critical isolation in petroleum refining, natural gas transmission, and heavy-duty power systems.

Structural Characteristics of
The body is forged from premium ASTM A182 F22 alloy steel, maintaining exceptional creep strength and mechanical properties in high-heat environments exceeding 500°C. Compared to standard carbon steel, it offers a significantly longer service life in power plant superheated steam lines, effectively resisting high-temperature oxidation and material softening.
The unique Extended Body configuration creates a safe distance between the welding ends and the seat sealing area. During on-site butt-welding, the heat remains localized, preventing thermal conduction to precision internal components. This protects the seat trim from thermal distortion, ensuring a zero-leakage seal upon commissioning.
Utilizing a butt-weld connection, the valve forms a high-rigidity unified structure with the piping, completely eliminating the risks of gasket aging or bolt loosening found in flanged joints. When handling flammable, explosive, or high-pressure toxic gases, this hermetic design provides the highest tier of environmental protection and safety.
The Outside Screw and Yoke (OS&Y) architecture positions the operating threads entirely outside the fluid and high-heat zones. This prevents direct exposure to high-temperature media and dry-out of lubricants, ensuring light operating torque and preventing valve seizure even after years of continuous operation.
Despite the permanent welded joints, the Bolted Bonnet design allows internal components to be removed for inspection without cutting the valve from the line. This significantly simplifies the overhaul process in chemical plants, shortening the maintenance window for critical process lines.
